Chondromix® 30 tablets - a unique complex for cartilage tissue with chondroitin, glucosamine and antioxidant enzymes. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which the articular cartilage is gradually destroyed. The cartilage thins, loses its elasticity, and cracks and erosions appear on its surface. Chondroitin sulphate is the main structural component of the cartilage matrix, which provides its elasticity and resistance to compression. It attracts and retains water in the cartilage, creating a cushioning effect and providing elasticity. Chondroitin stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and type II collagen by chondrocytes, the cells of cartilage tissue. It inhibits enzymes (elastase, hyaluronidase) that destroy cartilage and suppresses the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Clinical studies show that chondroitin slows the progression of osteoarthritis, reduces pain and improves joint function. The effect is gradual and lasts for a long time after the end of treatment.

Glucosamine is a precursor of glycosaminoglycans, which are part of the proteoglycans of the cartilage matrix. It stimulates the synthesis of collagen and proteoglycans, suppresses the activity of degrading enzymes (collagenase, metalloproteinase), and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Glucosamine increases the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, the main component of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joint and allows the joint surfaces to slide. Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an organic compound of sulphur, which is necessary for the synthesis of collagen, keratin and glutathione. Sulphur is part of the amino acids cysteine and methionine, which form disulphide bridges that provide strength to collagen fibres. MSM has powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and reduces joint swelling.
